Designated an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty the South Hams of Devon is the ideal place for an Easter break. It is a rural, coastal area with a long and interesting history. It is not too far from the Dartmoor national Park and is very simply a nice place to relax while on holiday. The area is famous not only for its indescribably beautiful surroundings but also for its food and culture. Locals use tried and tested natural methods when producing food and being a coastal area the seafood is obviously fresh.  Visitors to the area get to sample this freshly caught seafood, locally produced wines and apple juice. The area is very popular for its dairy products and creamy cheeses, ice creams and clotted creams all produced locally are just waiting to be tasted. Also available are succulent beef, lamb and pork along with venison, chicken and fish. There are many places around for food to be enjoyed ranging from hotels, to restaurants, to pubs and cafes. After sampling all the food, South Hams of Devon has the perfect landscape for walking. Its miles of coastline and breathtaking scenery are conducive for long outdoor walks. It is the best way to experience the location.  There is something about gazing at the sea and feeling the breeze on one’s face that instantly calms the soul. Not only walking but sailing, riding, golfing and of course sea bathing are just a few of the other pastimes on offer in the area.
