Bad cold and flu are common diseases in winter, so selecting good foods can help us prevent the illnesses. This article suggests you six kinds of food, which are healthy for our health during cold months including garlic, turnip greens, leeks, sweet potatoes, rapini and cabbage. You can process the food by different ways to make them more appropriate with your taste.

 

Garlic

Although garlic is only a spice, it should be eaten year-round because it contains sulfur-containing compounds as well as anti-inflammatory and even anti-infection properties, which helps prevent cancers, bad cold, common flu, heart disease, and etc.

Turnip greens

People hardly know the fact that turnip’s leaves are very useful for our health because one leaf alone contains over 100% daily value of vitamins A and K, 55% of vitamin C, 27% of folate and about 10% of calcium and manganese.

Leeks
