Psychiatrist tells the truth about mental health drugs.
A lot of times, people don’t look at the side-effects. Each Antipsychotic,
depressant, etc. comes with what to look out for and when to immediately
call your doctor. There’s so little research that goes into mental health
drugs and it’s effects varies amongst individuals. As a future
psychiatrist, you have every right to talk to your doctor about other
options and if they’re pushing medication on you you need to find someone
else. Most of these medications are not meant for long term purposes so if
they don’t even refer you to therapy then seek someone else. You definitely
need to be aware of their association with “big pharma” but don’t
completely go anti-psychiatrist. No one goes through the 10 years of
schooling with no desire to ultimately help the patient.
Was on Celexa for a short time. During was fine but for two weeks after
stopping (of my own choice) I felt like everything was so surreal like I
was in a dream. Not fun when trying to do groceries.
i made the mistake of going to see a psychiatrist for depression back in
2008. after a string of ssri drugs that she experimented on me with had no
effect at all, she prescribed me risperidone and welbutrin. over the
following 2 months my mental condition deteriorated. i became more and more
hysterically psychotic, to a point beyond human language to describe. but i
just thought this was normal life, and kept taking what the “doctor”
prescribed. she saw me every week, and i kept going crazier and crazier. i
was NOT psychotic to begin with. although i suspect she put me on an
anti-psychotic because of some of my anti-establishment/drug-company
beliefs. but i became psychotic.
i took myself off the drugs 9 months later. and that was an adventure in
itself. there were things happening in my brain for YEARS afterwards. and i
was taking myself off very gradually. not cold-turkey.
6 years later, and at age 45, i’m still trying to piece my life back
together. the career i once had, that i had spent almost all of my adult
life cultivating, is over.
Size effects are dependent on the dosage and varies from person to person.
Right now I think doctors prescribe initial dosage based on instructions
from the medication manufacturer, on your age, weight, allergies etc. They
raise dosage when the psychotic symptoms are not relieved. When relieved it
is right to tell doctors to start reducing the dosage so that side effects
can be further reduced or improved.
The aim is to work on the right dosage that relive the positive symptoms
with the best handling of side effects.
Another important note that is not addressed are negative symptoms after
e.g a psychotic episode. Will doctors dare to challenge the fact that these
neagative symptoms might be due to the side effects from the medications
instead of from the base problem of the psychosis?
I also have another question that’s been driving me crazy
Keep these arectlis coming as they’ve opened many new doors for me.
What is this dr trying to sell ?
I read a stastistic that the average age on medicatet patients with mental
issues are 40 years because of organ failure from all that medicine.
Milkthistleseedextract (Silymarin) strenthen liver, i recomend that if you
are on medication or alcoholic or have weak liver from other reason.
I read that some mental issues like schizophrenia and depression in some
cases can be lack of folic-acid.
Spinach can be good for depression and schizophrenia like many other leafy
greens i read.
Ginger should be good after chemo-therapy i read.
I drink herb tea with st johns wort and yarrow and vervain for my
depression.
Oaths and some fruits have mood stuff in also.
I take Echina 5 complex to avoid flues sometimes.
Thank you for caring and sharing! Real, not sound bite lines, cool :)

What about dealing with seizures? Is there anything natural and safe to
take to deal with it instead of taking such dangerous drugs. Any opinions
on this?

Insightful video. But omg her legs are amazing.
I was faced with the opportunity to take Acutane, but my dermatologist
wanted to attempt all the other possible options first. At the end of it
all my acne was still fairly bad and I was told Acutane would cure it. That
sounded so amazing, and my acne caused me so much distress. However, I’d
need to get extensive blood testing and go on 2 different contraceptive
pills (with their own side effects to include) to take this drug. That
alone deterred me from it. I figured out how to seemingly cure my acne
through all natural methods.
I was on Zoloft for a year between the ages of 14 and 15 for depression and
anxiety. It worked so well! Yet today I choose to forego medication, and
the reason is when I went off of it I felt worse, and I can’t take this
drug my whole life. I try my best to heal myself naturally. A lot of people
look at that method as insane and a joke.. Like the film Forks Over Knives
where people claim they cured cancer by only eating produce for every meal
and having healthier habits. No one believes that can be true because
they’ve been brainwashed with the promises of medication. I’ve heard of
parents being charged with child abuse if they don’t go the traditional
route of curing their child of cancer. For trying natural alternatives to
anything parents can be considered neglectful… People need to stop
picking ‘pro’ or ‘anti’ because it’s never that simple!
So, what you are saying is, if a person commits a crime while on a
medication, the doctor who prescribed the drug, the company who
manufactured the drug, and the FDA who approved the drug should be
considered accessories before the fact
The risk of not getting vaccinated has nothing to do with those who are, it
has to do with those who can’t be vaccinated for some reason and with those
who aren’t vaccinated by their parents. How can we respect that kind of
negligence? It is just like faith healing, I wouldn’t mind if the risks
weren’t being taken by innocent kids.
Some great comments, here, in a world full of puppets and sheep, who dont
want to think or open up to the fraud that psychiatry is and the illusion
of treatment in the form of these medications. As a herbalist, there are so
many natural treatments.
There’s more options to treat & cure leukemia than stated.
